A high class prostitute and an eminent psychoanalyst discover that they share many things in common in Jeanne Labrune's brittle comedy starring the remarkable Isabelle Huppert as you’ve never seen her before.

Alice Bergerac (Huppert) is an upmarket prostitute who plays host to a wide spectrum of well-heeled, middle-aged men. Living in an entirely separate world is Xavier (Bouli Lanners), a well-respected psychoanalyst. An uptight, angry and calculating man, he has his share of strange and weird patients. When Xavier’s marriage starts to unravel, a friend gives him Alice’s number, but Alice has seen enough of the seedy underbelly of French masculinity and, in seeking professional help, “auditions” a series of psychoanalysts including Xavier…

Special Treatment is an elegantly shot, rich, witty and sophisticated comedy from veteran writer/director Jeanne Labrune, and a must for fans of Isabelle Huppert, not to mention Belgium's cult actor/director Bouli Lanners.
