Jean (Fred Testot) is 35 and still living with his mother in a small town in Corsica. He works as a cook in the family restaurant and knows, to his great despair, that his future is all mapped out: he will take over the restaurant and spend the rest of his life in that town.
One day, while he is driving a sports car a business partner lent him, he stops and helps Nora (Leila Bekhti), who has just been thrown into the sea by a racing yacht. This encounter marks the beginning of an eventful night. Not only does Nora have character but she also wants to get revenge against her partner who threw her into the sea. Jean soon finds himself falling for her and undertakes a road trip with her around Corsica. How will the bond between the two characters evolve? Will Jean be able to escape from his dull future?
Featuring breath-taking landscapes, this movie is a contemporary comedy on male/female relationships.
In his first feature-length film, Jean-Luc Perréard highlights Leila Bekhti’s vibrant talent.
